East Rutherford, N.J. -- With 3:06 left to play in the 2nd quarter, Vince Carter drove to the lane and was injured after stepping on former teammate, Devin Harris' foot. It appears that he sustained a high ankle injury and was taken to the locker room shortly after.
He was able to walk off the floor on his own power while putting some weight on the injured left ankle in the process. We will keep you updated on the full extent of the injury.
This was Carter's first trip back to New Jersey, to play against his former team, since being traded to the Orlando Magic on June 25, 2009. He played four and a half seasons with the Nets.
